Choose your Fir

Balsam Fir

The traditional choice of Quebec families, the balsam fir is appreciated for its distinctive aroma, its classic form and its look with a rich and radiant dark green reflection. Its needles are spaced and flattened with rounded tips, forest-green color on the top with two thin white lines underneath.

Fraser Fir

Fraser Fir is known for its excellent retention of thorns, its perfect conical shape, its well-filled branches, and its light blue-green reflection. The Fraser needles are tender and flattened with the curled ends, they are green on the top and have a bluish tinge underneath. The aroma of Fraser fir is pleasant but subtler than that of Balsam.

We are proud to offer high quality Christmas trees, as well as wreaths, garlands, branches and tree stands. We stock a large variety of balsam and Fraser fir, of different qualities, from small to giant, to meet all the needs of our dear customers.

Being in one of Montreal's central neighborhoods, many of our customers appreciate our home delivery service, even when they buy their trees in person at our booth. For years we have been proud to offer a flexible delivery service everywhere in Montreal and in the suburbs, 7 days a week, from November 1st to December 24th. You can count on us to deliver a quality Christmas tree, which you can order online or over the phone.

Our fir trees are grown sustainably with experience and passion on an intergenerational farm located in Estrie, Quebec. We harvest them gradually and as late as possible to offer you the freshest products. The labeling of trees in the different categories is also a rigorous process for us, to always deliver the high-quality products our customers are used to. Our trees are grown, harvested and stored according to the best available techniques, so we take great care to protect the trees during all stages of transport, from the farm to your home.

Come and choose your tree directly at our Christmas tree lot or order by internet or phone and let us choose a fir tree according to your standards, and you deliver it to the door! We take to heart to meet the expectations of our customers, whether for a Christmas tree in a living room, or dozens of giant trees for an event. You can count on Le Père Sapin to beautify your holiday season with fresh, local and carefully selected products.
